City Council meeting of February 2, 2004 <br />Page 6 <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule a joint Council/Planning Commission meeting for <br />February 23, 2004, at 7:00 pm, to discuss the downtown redevelopment proposal. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />FUNDING STRATEGIES FOR 2004 <br />Council member Chuck Haas requested that this item be placed on the agenda for discussion. With the <br />selection of the Council's "top ten" City goals for 2004, Council member Haas would like to have a <br />general discussion about funding the goals and projects the City will be working on in 2004. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, directing staff to provide funding strategies for the 2004 City goals. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />INTRODUCTION OF CITY LAPEL PINS/COFFEE CUP <br />City Administrator Mike Ericson presented Council with the City's new coffee cup and lapel pin. These <br />City memorabilia are the idea of Deputy Clerk Renee' Cunningham, who worked very hard to develop <br />them. <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, that a special note of "thanks" be given to Renee' for creating the <br />City memorabilia (lapel pin/coffee cup). <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />HUGO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DESIGN TEAM RETREAT <br />Members of the "team" met at Hugo City Hall on January 30-31, 2004 to work on the new Hugo <br />elementary school. Council member Becky Petryk and City Administrator Mike Ericson were members <br />of the team and updated Council on the meetings. Council thanked Council member Mike Granger for <br />suggesting that Hugo City Hall be used as the site for these meetings. <br />PELOOUIN INDUSTRIAL PARK P.I. PROJECT <br />City Attorney Dave Snyder requested that Council discuss the change order requested by Lametti & Sons <br />for additional work on the Peloquin Industrial Park Public Improvement Project. Former City Engineer <br />Dave Mitchell advised Council that Lametti & Sons had reduced their claim to the City by $21,000. <br />Attorney Snyder suggested that City staff meet with Lametti & Sons to discuss their claim in detail. No <br />formal Council action was taken. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to adjourn at 9:40 pm. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
