MINUTES FOR THE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 13, 2004 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br />PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />City Administrator Mike Ericson and CD Director Bryan Bear <br />This special meeting of the City Council was called to conduct interviews of candidates for the <br />City of Hugo's Economic Development Authority. Staff received a total of 13 applications for the <br />five citizen -at -large positions, but two candidates withdrew on the day of the interviews. <br />The Council interviewed the following eleven applicants: Jim Bever, Scott Montgomery; Jan <br />Arcand; Jill Hughes-Weidenbacher; Bob Berens; Nick Skarich; Phil Klein; Theresa Charpentier; <br />Kevin Miller; Elizabeth Wallen; and Mike Compton. <br />Staff then distributed ballots and the City Council voted and City Administrator Mike Ericson <br />announced the top five vote getters: Nick Skarich; Phil Klein; Jim Bever; Theresa Charpentier; <br />and Janice Arcand. Council agreed to publicly announce the five citizen -at -large members of the <br />EDA at the next regular meeting on September 20, 2004. <br />There being no further business: <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to adjourn the meeting at 9:23 pm. <br />All aye.
