MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 16, 2003 Mayor Fran Miron opened the meeting at 7:00 pm. PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron City Administrator, Michael Ericson CD Director, John Rask City Attorney, Dave Snyder City Engineer, Dave Mitchell Public Works Director, Chris Petree Water Resource Engineer, Pete Willenbring City Planner, Kendra Lindahl City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager MINUTES FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 2, 2003 Puleo made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting of June 2, 2003 as submitted. VOTING AYE: Granger, Haas, Puleo, Miron ABSTAINED: Petryk Motion Carried. MINUTES FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 16, 2003 Haas made motion, Puleo seconded, to approve the meeting minutes for the June 9, 2003 Parks Commissioner interviews as presented. All aye. Motion Carried.' APPROVAL OF AGENDA Add F.3 — Discussion of U of M Regional Extension Center Add L.1— Discussion of 165h Street Culvert Replacement Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the agenda for June 16, 2003 as amended. All aye. Motion Carried. FIREFIGHTER II HAZMAT TRAINING CERTIFICATION AWARDS FOR HFD Upon the successful completion of the firefighter 11 HAZMAT training and with the recommendation of Fire Chief Jim Compton, fifteen members of the HID received Certificates of Appreciation in recognition of their completion of this very important HAZMAT training: Kevin Colvard; Jim Compton Jr, Jim Christiansen; Bill Buystedt; Scott Peterson; Jadon 011ila; Pat Dunn; Bryan Lund; Tony Bronk; Don Wolkerstorfer; Marty Schwartz; Penny Owen; Russ Frantum; Paul Fladeboe; Kurt Grainger; and Jim Compton Sr. Chief Compton noted that the members had to put in over 96 hours of training to earn their certification. The Mayor, Council, and Fire Chief Compton presented the certificates to those members in attendance at the meeting.
