MINUTES FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD TO CONDUCT CITY <br />ENGINEER INTERVIEWS ON DECEMBER 8. 2003 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. <br />PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Puleo, Miron <br />City Administrator Michael Ericson <br />CD Director John Rask <br />Public Works Director Chris Petree <br />Senior Engineering Technician Scott Anderson <br />ABSENT: Becky Petryk <br />This special Council meeting was called to conduct interviews for the position of City <br />Engineer. Mayor Miron and City staff conducted interview with four consulting engineering <br />funis: 1) SEH Engineers; 2) WSB Engineers; 3) Howard R. Green Company; and 4) <br />Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates. Mayor Miron commended each firm on its <br />excellent proposal to provide both civil and water resource engineering services to the City of <br />Hugo. <br />After the Bonestroo interview concluded at 9:20 pm, the Council discussed, in depth, the four <br />engineering firms' interviews and proposals. After discussion: <br />Granger made motion, Puleo seconded, made motion to select WSB Engineers as the new City <br />Engineer. Council directed staff to place this item on the 12/15 regular agenda and to prepare a <br />list of projects the SEH Engineers could continue to work on to tap into its expertise. <br />All aye.
