MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JANUARY 7, 2002 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br />PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />City Administrator, Michael Ericson <br />CD Director, John Rask <br />City Attorney, Dave Snyder <br />City Engineer, Dave Mitchell <br />City Clerk, Mary Ann Creager <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES FOR DECEMBER 17.2001 <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting of December <br />17, 2001 as presented. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Table city fee schedule discussion until the meeting of January 22, 2002 <br />Add L.2 — Oneka Lake Driveway Letter <br />Add K.1— Bever Landscaping Complaint (132"d Street) <br />Add K.2 — Goal Settings Session <br />Miron made motion, Haas seconded, to set the agenda for January 7, 2002 with changes. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />GFOA CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT AWARD (RON OTKINI <br />The Government Finance Officers Association has awarded the certificate of achievement for <br />excellence in financial reporting to the City of Hugo and its Finance Director Ron Otkin. The <br />certificate of achievement award is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental <br />accounting and financial reporting. The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving <br />approximately 14,000 government finance professionals in the US and Canada. On behalf of the Hugo <br />City Council, Mayor Fran Miron made a formal presentation of the GFOA certificate of achievement <br />plaque to Ron, and recognized Ron for his outstanding work in financial accounting. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Haas made motion, Granger seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br />Approval of Claims <br />Appointment of Acting Mayor <br />Appointment of City Engineer <br />Appointment of Water Resource Engineer <br />Appointment of City Attorney <br />Appointment of Financial Advisor <br />Appointment of Civil Defense Director <br />
