Motion Carried. <br />APPROVAL OF CLAIMS <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the claims for July 16, 2001 as presented. <br />APPROVAL OF A VARIANCE FOR NIKI BRAMSTEDT <br />Niki Bramstedt made application to the City for a variance to permit a septic system drainfield 50 feet <br />from a wetland where 75 feet is required. Washington County Department of Public Health and <br />Environment reviewed the variance request and found it to be acceptable. Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda approved the setback variance for Niki Bramstedt to permit a mound septic system 50 feet from <br />a wetland. <br />APPROVAL OF ANNUAL PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL & SALARY ADJUSTMENT (JOHN <br />RASK) <br />The City hired John Rask on July 10, 2000 as the City's first-ever Community Development Director. <br />John has worked very hard over the past year to become an integral staff member of the City Hall team. <br />He is dependable, a hard worker, and excelled in the formalization of the Community Development <br />Department with the City. He has become an excellent asset to the City, its citizens, and to the City <br />Council. His success with grants writing, drafting detailed staff reports, and managing the Everton <br />Avenue Study Project are shining examples of why the City is fortunate to have him as a fine employee. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved John Rask's annual performance appraisal and salary <br />adjustment as prescribed in the City's employee matrix. <br />APPROVAL OF PROPERTY LINE ADJUSTMENT (61 STOP) <br />Granger's Inc., dba 61 Stop made application to the City for a property line adjustment for property <br />located at the southeast corner of TH61 and 148' Street. The request would result in a property <br />conveyance of approximately 1,683 sq ft from the auto body property to the 61 Stop property. As part of <br />the 61 Stop expansion project, the owners were requested to make a property line adjustment in order to <br />provide the correct building setback. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the property line <br />adjustment for the 61 Stop expansion project. <br />APPROVAL OF CUP FOR TRAILER SALES <br />Glen Lutz made application to the City for a CUP to allow the retail sale of trailers on his property <br />located at 5795 165' Street. At its meeting of June 27, 2001, the PC recommended approval of the <br />request subject to certain conditions. City staff reviewed the CUP application and found it to be in <br />compliance with City code. Councilman Haas questioned the excessive storage of vehicles on the <br />
