MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF OCTOBER 9.2001 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br />PRESENT: Granger, Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />City Administrator, Mike Ericson <br />CD Director, John Rask <br />City Engineer, Dave Mitchell <br />Water Resource Engineers, Pete Willenbring and Andrea Moffatt <br />The Council called this public informational meeting to discuss with residents the 165'" Street/Oneka <br />Lake proposed outlet project. <br />Mayor Miron opened the meeting and introduced the staff and Council. Water Resource Engineer <br />Pete Willenbring provided a background on the project with a PowerPoint video presentation, and <br />noted that the first public meeting was held in 1997. He provided five options for implementing the <br />project, which included to simply "do nothing". He included three options for financing if the project <br />were to move forward. He discussed with Council and the audience the benefits of regional storm <br />water planning. <br />There were a number of questions asked by the audience. Council expressed its sensitivity to funding <br />the project and special assessments. Council agreed to take no action on the issue, but said it would <br />be brought back for discussion at a later date. <br />Petryk made motion, Granger seconded, to adjourn at 9:05 pm. <br />All aye.
