MINUTES FOR THE JOINT CITY COUNCHJPLANNING COMMISSION MEETING OF <br />12/1/01 <br />Mayor Fran Miron called the joint meeting to order at 9:00 am., Saturday, December 1, 2001 at the Hugo <br />Fire Hall. <br />PRESENT (CITY COUNCIL): Haas, Petryk, Puleo, Miron <br />PRESENT (PLANNING COMMISSION): Kleissler, Malaski, McRoberts, Rooney, Rosenquist, <br />Schumann <br />City Administrator, Michael Ericson <br />CD Director, John Rask <br />ABSENT (Council): Mike Granger <br />ABSENT (PC): Teddy Peltier <br />Facilitator Barbara Strandell moderated a work session with the Hugo City Council and Planning <br />Commission to better define roles and responsibilities for the respective members. The primary purpose <br />was to achieve a common understand of the role of the PC and its relationship to the Council. <br />Additionally, the work session identified a number of methods and tools the Council and PC could use to <br />prepare members for the dramatic increase in residential development after February 2002. <br />The session concluded. at noon and box lunches and beverages were shared with all attendees. <br />After lunch, CD Director John Rask reviewed with the Council and PC members the revisions to the <br />City's land use ordinance. Staff suggested a number of revisions, as did the members. The ordinance will <br />be revised to reflect the changes and brought back to both the Council and PC for approval. <br />1 1 0 9 z I <br />Malaski made motion, Kleissler seconded, to adjourn the Planning Commission meeting at 2:27 pm. <br />All aye.
