RESOLUTION NO. 1980-7o A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE JOINT AND COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FOR USE OF POLICE PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT AND AUTHORIZING DESIGNATION OF REQUESTING OFFICIAL AND RESPONDING OFFICIAL. The City Council of the City of Hugo, Washington, Minnesota, determines that: WHEREAS, it appears to be to the public benefit to enter into a Joint and Cooperative Agreement for use of police personnel and equip- ment and to enter into a Joint Powers Agreement for that purpose; and WHEREAS, a Joint and Cooperative Agreement for use of police personnel and equipment has been submitted by the Washington County Sheriff's Department; and WHEREAS, each participant must designate an authorized requesting official and responding official; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council approves the Joint and Cooperative Agreement for use of police personnel and equipment submitted by the Washington County Sheriff's Department; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Clerk are authorized to execute the Joint and Cooperative Agreement for use of police personnel and equipment on behalf of the City of Hugo, and to transmit the executed Agreement to the representative of the Washington County Sheriff's Depart- ment; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that until further action of the City Council the Police Chief for the City of Hugo, or in the absence of the Police Chief the Acting Police Chief, sha ll be authorized to designate in writing the name or names of persons designated as "requesting official" and "responding official", as utilized and with the duties specified in the Joint and Cooperative Agreement for use of police personnel.and equipment; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution becomes effective from and after its adoption and passage.
