RESOLUTION NO. 1980- 7/ <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING AN EXTENSION OF TIME FROM THE METROPOLITAN <br />COUNCIL FOR THE FILING OF THE COMPREHENSIVE MUNICIPAL PLAN FOR <br />THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA. <br />The City Council of the -City of Hugo, Washington County, <br />Minnesota, determines that: <br />WHEREAS, the Land Planning Act of the•State of Minnesota <br />requires the filing of a Comprehensive Municipal Plan pursuant to <br />an approved System Statement, the Act requiring filing on or before <br />July 1, 1980; <br />WHEREAS, the System Statement for the City of Hugo <br />has not been finally approved and is in a Reconciliation Procedure; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Hugo has entered into an Agreement <br />with the Washington County Manning Department for assistance in <br />preparation of the Comprehensive Municipal Plan for the City of <br />Hugo; <br />WHEREAS, the planning process is proceeding while the <br />System Statement is being reconciled, and has been partially <br />completed, and preparation.is continuing; <br />WHEREAS, -the City of Hugo anticipates that at least six <br />(6) months will be required for the completion of said Reconciliation <br />Procedure to obtain a finalized System Statement and for the <br />completion of the preparation of the. -Comprehensive Municippl Plan <br />and the hearings and review incidental to its finalization for <br />submission to the Metropolitan Council; and <br />WHEREAS, said Land Planning Act provides for up to six <br />(6) months review after submission to adjacent communities and <br />affected school districts and municipal bodies; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council requests <br />an extension of time of one (1) year from and after July 1. 1980, <br />for the filing of its Comprehensive Municipal*Plan pursuant:to the <br />Land Planning Act of the State of Minnesota comprising six (6) <br />months for the finalization of the Comprehensive Municipal Plan and <br />the :Finalization of the Reconciliation Procedure for its System <br />Statement, and six (6) months for circulation of the draft Plan <br />for approval and comment of affected municipal bodies and school <br />districts; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon passage and adoption of <br />the within Resolution the Clerk is authorized and directed to cause <br />
