City Council meeting of February 22, 2000 <br />Page 5 <br />PUBLIC WORKS UNIFORMS <br />The Council considered the City Administrator's report about providing uniforms for the City's <br />public works department, at a cost of $361.90 per employee, per year. <br />Haas made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the contract with G&K, to provide uniforms for the <br />Public Works Department, at a cost of $361.90 per employee, per year. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />YEAR 2000 GROUNDS CARE <br />At the Mayor's request, the City's maintenance supervisor prepared cost estimates with two <br />alternatives for providing grounds care to the City's parks and grounds. The Council delayed <br />discussion of this matter until such time as the City receives official notice that Washington County <br />will no longer provide road maintenance for the City. <br />Barnes made motion, Haas seconded, to table this matter indefinitely. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PARKS COMMISSION (MAP REQUEST) <br />The Council considered a request from the Parks Commission for a citywide map for use at their <br />meetings, as well as a working map for the Planning Commission and Council. The estimated cost <br />for such a map is estimated at $3,500. Councilman Haas expressed an interest in seeing a sample <br />map from another community. Administrator Museus suggested that this request be tied in with the <br />recently approved Wildlife Urban Project. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Barnes seconded, to table this request pending the receipt of more <br />information. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION APPOINTMENT <br />Barnes made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to appoint Ron McRoberts to serve on the Hugo <br />Planning Commission, for a term to expire 12/31/04. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CITY COMMITTEES <br />Stoltzman made motion, Barnes seconded, to disband the Liquor Ordinance Penalties Committee <br />effective immediately. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
