MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF MARCH 13, 2000 <br />Mayor Walter Stoltzman reconvened the meeting at City Hall at 6:30 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />ALSO PRESENT were: Dave Schumann <br />The purpose of the meeting was to discuss whether any further Council action <br />was required to tender an offer to Mike Ericson for the position of City <br />Administrator. <br />The Mayor informed the Council that a contract of employment was being <br />prepared. A question had arisen regarding Mr. Ericson's retirement plAn, and <br />the Council informally indicated it was in favor of continuing his current <br />retirement plan at a City match of $1500 annually. <br />The City Council also discussed Mr. Ericson's expectation that a 6 -month review <br />would be held in the fall, and was in agreement that this would be performed. <br />Mr. Haas discussed Mr. Ericson's expectation that the Council would make a <br />commitment to move forward with the construction of new facilities for City staff. <br />The Council was in agreement that this should happen, and authorized the City <br />Hall Building Committee to undertake discussion on what temporary <br />arrangements should be made for additional staff in the near future. Mr. Leroux <br />accepted this responsibility on behalf of the Committee. <br />Ms. Barnes moved to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilmember Haas. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />The meeting was adjourned at approximately 6:55 p.m. <br />
