City Council meeting of July 17, 2000 <br />Page 5 <br />are heavier than air, and it can be detected by odor before it would become a hazard. <br />McMahon said fire codes were being followed with a few minor changes. Two hydrants would be <br />needed along Fenway Avenue as well as a hard paved fire lane around the building. McMahon <br />stated the department would need additional training, unmanned monitor nozzles for the hoses, and <br />foam tanks and adaptors. <br />Doug Youel, 4749 122nd Street, felt the project was more than code compliant, and the owner was <br />a very conscientious person who would not jeopardize the health and welfare of the community. <br />Bob Harding, 12096 Everton Avenue, felt the building plan was excellent, but the storage and <br />transport of Xylene was a hazard. <br />Stoltzman made motion to table site plan approval for Protective Coatings Technology, Inc. <br />Motion died for lack of a second. <br />Becky made motion to deny site plan approval for Protective Coatings Technology, Inc. Motion <br />died for lack of a second. <br />Hass made motion, Stoltzman seconded, to table site plan approval for Protective Coatings <br />Technology, Inc. until August 7, 2000. <br />Ayes: Haas, Leroux, Stoltzman <br />Nay: Petryk <br />Motion carried. <br />WATER TOWER SITE SELECTION <br />Leroux indicated that the City was moving forward with the selection of a site for the new water <br />tower, and he and the City Engineer will be meeting with landowner Martha Peltier, as well as the <br />buyer and developer of her property, to discuss it further. <br />NEW CITY HALL MEETING <br />Members of the Council planned to attend a meeting with the City Administrator and Bob Rusick <br />at 11:45 a.m. on July 18, 2000. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the feasibility study <br />done by Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik Architects on the new City Hall, so they would be prepared <br />to answer questions at the town meeting on July 20, 2000. <br />PELOOUIN INDUSTRIAL PARK <br />The City Administrator and the City Engineer had met with property owners in the Peloquin <br />Industrial Park individually to discuss improvements to their properties, and stated they will soon <br />be sharing the results of those meetings. <br />CITY NEWSLETTER <br />The City Administrator asked if any of the Council Members would object to having their phone <br />numbers published in the next newsletter. There were no objections. <br />
