MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 3, 1999 <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />City Administrator, Robert Museus <br />The Mayor reconvened the City Council meeting of November 1, 1999, at 6:00 p.m. for the purpose of <br />selecting a firm to provide municipal engineering services to the community. Each of the four firms <br />interviewed made a short presentation on their capabilities and capacity to serve the City of Hugo, and <br />introduced key individuals who will be providing services to the community. Firms considered were <br />Bonestroo Rosene Anderlick; WSB & Associates; TKDA; and Short, Elliot, and Hendrickson. <br />Following Council discussion, Stoltzman made motion, Petryk seconded, to select Short Elliot <br />Hendrickson as the City's Municipal Engineer. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Council member Haas requested that certain items on the City Council agenda of November 1, 1999, <br />which the Council did not have time to address, be considered at this evenings meeting. Petryk made <br />motion, seconded by Haas, to approve a 90 -day extension for the Townhomes of Bald Eagle <br />Development to file their final plat with the City of Hugo. This extension is being granted as the <br />developer will need to prepare a revised plan based on Council requirements to extend 130th Street to <br />Fenway Boulevard, and to redesign certain internal streets as public roadways. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Stoltzman made motion, seconded by Haas, to approve the City's Finance Director's proposal to install a <br />new phone system in City Hall to include call forwarding and voice mail, at the total contract price of <br />$5,927.70. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Council discussed the need to determine methodology to select a new administrator for the City. Options <br />included appointing a search committee comprised of City Council members and representatives of the <br />community, or hiring a consultant to aid in the selection process. Council requested that the <br />Administrator request Brimmeyer & Associates make a presentation on their firm's services at their <br />regular City Council meeting on November 15, 1999. <br />Barnes made motion, Leroux seconded, to recess this meeting until 7:00 p.m., November 4, 1999, at the <br />Hugo Firehall, in order to discuss potential realignment of CSAH 8 with the Washington County <br />Engineer, and to review the City's Comprehensive Transportation Plan <br />All Ayes.
