MINUTES FOR THE HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 24,1999 <br />A special meeting of the Council was called to order by Mayor Stoltzman at 4:20 pm. <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />City Administrator, Robert Museus <br />This special meeting was called to interview applicants to assist the City in selecting a new City <br />Administrator. The Council considered an amendment to the City's Personnel Policy establishing <br />public funding for an annual employee recognition dinner. <br />Leroux made motion, Barnes seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1999-19, A RESOLUTION <br />AMENDING THE CITY'S PERSONNEL POLICY BY AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNCIL <br />TO CONTRIBUTE PUBLIC FUNDS TO AN ANNUAL EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION <br />DINNER. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Haas, Leroux, Petryk, Stoltzman <br />Motion Carried. <br />Mark Sathe and Bob Benson with Sathe and Associates presented a proposal to the Council to <br />assist in the selection process for a new administrator for the City of Hugo. Mr. Sathe outlined the <br />process that his firm would use, and highlighted his expertise in assisting communities in executive <br />recruitment. <br />Mr. James Brimeyer of The Brimeyer Group, Inc., presented his firm's qualifications to assist the <br />Council in the selection of a new administrator, including the process he would recommend, a <br />suggested timetable, and a description of his experience in executive recruitment. <br />Following the presentations by the firms: <br />Haas made motion, Leroux seconded, directing the City Administrator to negotiate a Service <br />Agreement with Sathe and Associates to assist the City Council in the selection of a new <br />administrator. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Petryk made motion, Barnes seconded, to recess this meeting until 7:00 pm, November 29, 1999, in <br />order to discuss JD2 litigation. <br />All aye.
