N2WM FOR THE flUGO CITY COUNCQ. MEETING OF DECEMBER 17.19% <br />The meeting was reconvened by Mayor Fran Miron at 8:45AM. <br />PRESENT: Agness, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Myon <br />City Administrator, Robert Museus <br />Finance Director, Ron Otkin <br />The purpose of this meeting is to consider acting upon the City's 1997 tax levy and <br />budget. <br />Leroux made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1996-20, A <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PAYABLE 1997 FINAL LEVY <br />CERTIFICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,010,331. <br />VOTING AYE: Agness, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Myon <br />Motion Carried. <br />Barnes made motion, Agness seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1996-21, A <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE GENERAL FUND BUDGET FOR THE <br />1997 FISCAL YEAR IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,203,488. <br />VOTING AYE: Agness, Barnes, Goiffon, Leroux, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, directing the City Administrator to prepare <br />a resolution requesting that Washington County assume responsibility for the <br />construction of the outlet from the School Section/Goggins lakes basin, and that <br />such resolution should be presented to the City Council and the May Town Board <br />at their joint meeting on December 19, 1996. <br />Councilmember Barnes left the meeting at 9:OOAM. <br />The Council then discussed the motion made on December 16, 1996 to reduce the <br />required escrow for the Oneka Lakes subdivision to $8,750 plus $250 for each lot <br />without a boulevard tree within the subdivision. Councilmember Barnes had <br />counted 11 lots without trees. This number was agreed to by Mr. Rick <br />Lewandowski, developer of the project, who was present at the meeting, resulting <br />in a total escrow of $11,500 for the project. <br />Leroux made motion, Goiffon seconded, to adjourn at 9:30AM. <br />All aye.
