Joint Hugo City CouncliMay Town Board meeting of December 19, 1996 <br />Page 2 <br />Hugo's City Attorney, Greg Galler, explained the assessing process under <br />Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 444. <br />Residents present were divided into three basic groups with a wide -range of <br />questions posed based on which group in which you were interested: <br />1. Property damage because of high water. <br />2. Have no problem and do not want to pay for solving the problem. <br />3. Do not want water released on their property. <br />Hugo Mayor Miron read a resolution the City is proposing to submit to <br />Washington County encouraging them to assume responsibility for construction <br />and maintenance of a stormwater control outlet, <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1996-22, A <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING THAT WASHINGTON COUNTY ASSUME <br />RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF <br />STORMWATER CONTROL OUTLET TO CONTROL THE FLOODING OF <br />THE SCHOOL SECTION/GOG("INS LAKE DRAINAGE BASIN. <br />VOTING AYE: Goiffon, Leroux, Miron <br />Motion Carried. <br />Leroux made motion, Goiffon second, to adjourn at 10:30PM. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MAY TOWN BOARD <br />Adams made motion, Johnson seconded, to recess tonight's meeting at 10:30PM <br />until January 2, 1997, to OLD BUSINESS on the agenda. <br />All aye.
