MINUTES <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />June 9, 2011 <br />Call to Order <br />Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Arcand, McRoberts, Schumann, Moore <br />ABSENT: Gwynn, Kleissler, Rosenquist <br />ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director <br />Rachel Juba, Planner <br />Joint Planning Commission and City Council Workshop <br />The Hugo City Council and Hugo Planning Commission held a joint workshop on land use. <br />Attorney Jed Burket from the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust (LMCIT) explained <br />that land use claims are the most costly claims filed. The purpose of this workshop was to <br />provide training to help the City make decisions on land use applications that will avoid this type <br />of litigation. Attorney Jed Burket led the Council and Planning Commission through a <br />PowerPoint presentation and answered land use related questions. <br />Adjournment <br />Rosenquist motioned, Gwynn seconded, to adjourn <br />All Ayes.
