MINUTES <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />September 22, 2011 <br />Call to Order <br />Vice Chair Kleissler called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Arcand, Gwynn, Kleissler, McRoberts, Moore, Rosenquist <br />ABSENT: None <br />ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director <br />Dennis Fields, Community Development Assistant <br />Rachel Juba, Planner <br />Approval of Minutes of September 8, 2011 <br />McRoberts made motion, Arcand seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes of <br />September 8, 2011. <br />All Ayes, motion carried. <br />Bergman — Minor Subdivision <br />Planner, Rachel Juba, explained to the Planning Commission that she is still working with the <br />applicant on the minor subdivision. She recommended that the Planning Commission table the <br />item at the request of the applicant. <br />McRoberts made a motion, Arcand seconded, to table the item until the next meeting as <br />requested by the applicant. <br />All Ayes, motion carried. <br />Variance — Text Amendment <br />McRoberts motioned, Arcand seconded, to remove the tabled item. <br />Rachel gave the background to the Planning Commission. She explained the text changes and <br />recommended approval of the changes to the Commission. <br />McRoberts asked what is considered a practicable difficulty, and things that the statute is open <br />ended. <br />Rachel answered that variances are reviewed on a case by case basis and the applicant would still <br />have to meet the criteria for approval. <br />
