MINUTES <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />May 27, 2010 <br />Call to Order <br />Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Arcand, Gwynn, Kleissler, McRoberts, Moore, Rosenquist, Schumann <br />ABSENT: NONE <br />ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director <br />Dennis Fields, Community Development Assistant <br />Rachel Simone, Planner <br />Approval of Minutes of March 25, 2010 <br />Gwynn made motion, Kleissler seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes of <br />March 25, 2010. <br />All Ayes, Motion carried. <br />Interim Use Permit Application for St. Paul Growers Association <br />Community Development Assistant, Dennis Fields, gave the background to the Planning <br />Commission. The request was for a Farmer's Market, located at 14383 Forest Blvd N. Dennis <br />explained that the Farmer's Market has been located on this site in past years without any <br />approvals or permits from the City. The recent ordinance approval allows them to now apply for <br />a permit for this type of use. The applicant is asking for the IUP for 3 years. Staff feels that they <br />meet all the findings for approval and recommended approval of the request. <br />Rosenquist asked if there was any issues with the traffic on Hwy 61 during the construction <br />times. <br />Dennis answered that staff feels that will not be an issue as the site has dedicated turn lanes and <br />traffic signals in place. <br />Schumann asked if there were any known parking issues on the site. <br />Dennis answered that the site has adequate parking with an additional parking lot to the north on <br />site. <br />Schumann opened the public hearing. <br />Jack Gerten, Manager of the St. Paul Farmer's Markets, stated that he has been on this site for <br />several years dating back to the construction of County Rd 8 east of Hwy 61 and stated that the <br />
