MINUTES
HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION
January 8, 2009
Call to Order
Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
PRESENT: Burmeister, Kleissler, Rosenquist, Schumann, Moore, McRoberts
ABSENT: None
ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director
Dennis Fields, Community Development Assistant
Rachel Simone, Associate Planner
Approval of Minutes of December 11, 2008
Rosenquist made motion, Kleissler seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes of
December 11, 2008 as presented.
All Ayes
Motion carried.
Public Hearing for Pratt Investment — Lot Split and PUD Amendment
Associate Planner, Rachel Simone gave a background to the Planning Commission and
explained the applicants request. The applicant is requesting a lot split for Lot 5, Block 5 in
Fable Hill's development. The property is addressed 7630 137th St Ct N.
Rachel explained the PUD amendment was to change the number of parcels from 52 lots to 53
lots in the development, adding one lot due to the lot split.
Schumann opened the Public Hearing.
The applicant, Len Pratt, came forth and explained that the lot was bigger due to the original
homestead location. The home was damaged by mold from being vacant for some time.
Because they were not able to sell the home it was burned by the Hugo Fire Department. The lot
was large enough that the split would create two lots that were similar in size to the surrounding
lots.
McRoberts asked how many of the lots had homes on them.
Mr. Pratt answered that he thought that half the lots had been purchased, with 4 in progress this
year.
