MINUTES <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />September 24, 2009 <br />Call to Order <br />Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Arcand, Gwynn, Kleissler, Moore, Rosenquist, Schumann <br />ABSENT: McRoberts <br />ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director <br />Dennis Fields, Community Development Assistant <br />Rachel Simone, Associate Planner <br />Oath of Office <br />Rick Gwynn and Scott Arcand recited and signed the Oath of Office to become members of the <br />Hugo Planning Commission. <br />Approval of Minutes of August 13th, 2009 <br />Kleissler made motion, Rosenquist seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes of <br />August 13, 2009. <br />All Ayes <br />Motion carried. <br />Abstain: Gwynn, Arcand <br />Public Hearing — Flood Plain Ordinance <br />Associate Planner, Rachel Simone, gave the background to the Planning Commission. She <br />explained that the Flood Plain Ordinance needed to be updated to remain eligible for the Federal <br />Flood Insurance Program. Changes were needed to stay consistent with FEMA standards. <br />Rachel outlined the changes for the Planning Commission. <br />Schumann commented that you can't live in a motorhome on a property and he likes that the <br />lowest floor elevation was changed for accessory buildings and that they could be flood proofed. <br />Schumann opened the Public Hearing. <br />Schumann closed the Public Hearing. <br />
