MINUTES <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />June 12, 2008 <br />Call to Order <br />Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Burmeister, Kleissler, McRoberts, Moore, Rosenquist, Schumann, and Weidt <br />ABSENT: NONE <br />ALSO PRESENT: Bryan Bear, Community Development Director <br />Dennis Fields, Community Development Assistant <br />Rachel Simone, Associate Planner <br />Oath of Office <br />Greg Burmeister read and signed the Oath of Office, making him a Planning Commissioner for <br />the City of Hugo. <br />Approval of Minutes of May 8, 2008 <br />Weidt made motion, Schumann seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes of <br />May 8, 2008 as presented. <br />Ayes: McRoberts, Moore, Rosenquist, Schumann, Weidt <br />Abstain: Kleissler, Burmeister <br />Motion carried. <br />Home Occupation ordinance Text Amendment <br />Associate Planner, Rachel Simone gave a background on the current ordinance and what changes <br />to the text were proposed. She stated that the changes would be to the number of vehicles <br />allowed for a home occupation. This would allow a resident to have two (2) business vehicles, <br />also allowing one to exceed the required 9,200 pound limit. <br />Rachel noted that City Council directed the Planning Commission to consider this issue at this <br />meeting and to make a recommendation back to the City Council. <br />Schumann opened the public hearing. <br />Schumann closed the public hearing. <br />Burmeister asked whether trailers were allowed under this change or only motorized vehicles. <br />
