MINUTES <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />August 28, 2008 <br />Call to Order <br />Chairman Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Burmeister, McRoberts, Moore, Rosenquist, Schumann, and Weidt <br />ABSENT: Kleissler <br />ALSO PRESENT: Dennis Fields, Community Development Assistant <br />Rachel Simone, Associate Planner <br />Approval of Minutes of May 8, 2008 <br />Rosenquist made motion, Weidt seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes of <br />June 12, 2008 as presented. <br />All Ayes <br />Motion carried. <br />Re -codification of Zoning Code <br />Associate Planner, Rachel Simone gave a background on why the code was being modified and a <br />definition of recodification. She also gave examples of how the code was changed and explained <br />that it was not changing the content or text, but rather the format of how the code was organized. <br />Staff recommended approval of the non contextual changes and asked for comments from the <br />Planning Commission. <br />Schumann opened the Public Hearing. <br />Schumann closed the Public Hearing. <br />Schumann made a comment regarding pipeline definitions on page 282 of the code. <br />Schumann made a comment regarding jargon used on page 283 of the code. He thought it might <br />be best to reference Webster's dictionary. <br />Schumann made a comment regarding clarification of a quorum if someone leaves on page 285 <br />of the code. <br />McRoberts commented on tabled items needing a majority vote to be taken off the table. <br />
