The applicant would like to construct a 1,196 square
foot addition to their existing 1,680 square foot accessory building, for a total of 2,876 square
feet of accessory storage building space.
The CDD explained that the property consists of five acres and is located in the Rural Residential
Zoning District where 2,300 square feet of accessory building space is permitted by ordinance.
Section 1195-030 of the Comprehensive Land Use Regulations allows accessory buildings up to
125 percent of the size permitted subject to the approval of a conditional use permit. Proposed
conditions of the permit would be that the building be subject to all building codes and that the
building be used for agricultural and personal storage only.
