DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: <br />The applicant is requesting approval of a conditional use permit (CUP) amendment to allow a <br />motor vehicle repair business to locate on the property. A motor vehicle repair business is <br />allowed on the property with a conditional use permit. <br />2. BACKGROUND: <br />The applicant currently has a CUP for exterior storage on the property. The applicant is <br />requesting to amend the CUP to allow a motor vehicle repair business on the property. The <br />building totals 9,600 square feet and has 8 bays (overhead doors) on the north side of the <br />building. The applicant currently leases out half the building, 4,800 square feet, to a motor <br />vehicle repair business called ATR Auto Repair. <br />Staff received a complaint that there may be an illegal business being operated on the property. <br />The complainant did not specify what bothered them about the business. Staff inspected the <br />property and found that the motor vehicle repair business was located in the building. Staff <br />contacted the applicant and he stated he was unaware that the business required CUP approval <br />
