Conditional Use Permit for a 6,600 square foot indoor <br />horse riding arena for the property located at 13961 Elmcrest Avenue <br />North. <br />DATE: June 19, 2014 for the Planning Commission Meeting Thursday, June 261i.. <br />2014 <br />ZONING: Single Family Detached Residential (R-3) <br />REVIEW DEADLINE: July 151i, 2014 <br />1. DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: <br />The applicant is requesting approval of a conditional use permit to allow an indoor horse riding <br />arena to be located on the property. The property is approximately 12.11 acres in size. The <br />proposed facility will be 6,600 square feet and meet all required setbacks. <br />2. BACKGROUND: <br />The applicant's property was previously zoned Agricultural (AG). The use of the property has <br />remained agricultural since then. The neighboring properties have also remained agricultural in <br />nature. The applicant purchased the property in 2010 and has been in compliance with having a <br />small hobby farm. She would like to utilize her property for horse riding all year round. <br />An indoor horse riding arena is a reasonable use for this property. <br />
