The additional space includes a social <br />hall, additional classrooms, offices and support activities. The Church does not anticipate that the new <br />social hall and the existing sanctuary space will be used during the same hours. <br />The interior remodeling of their existing building will include defining the space of the sanctuary to a <br />more limited size and making the leftover space available for small group meetings. <br />Because the number of parking spaces currently on site exceeds the City requirement, no additional <br />parking spaces are being considered. Note that the neighboring elementary school has parking spaces <br />adjacent to the church parking lot and the church and school have agreed to a shared parking <br />agreement which has been successfully in place for a number of years. The church also has considerable <br />unused land available should parking ever become an issue. <br />Description of Site <br />Zoning Classification: CR -3 Central Residential <br />Site Description: <br />The site contains a single -story church building with a lawn area and bituminous paved parking area on <br />the south side of the site. The north side of the site is generally undeveloped with light grass and <br />plantings.
