Planning Commission Meeting June 27, 2002- page 3 Bailly noted that a stop light at 147th was needed and to have one there as well as 145" and 140" would be stacking them up, so to remove the light at 145th would solve the problem. Brenda Hanson, 5485 145th St., said the area was zoned central business and asked if it would eventually be redeveloped, and the Commission stated that it could be rezoned. Hanson said a one-way on 145th would be O.K., and expressed a desire to keep her home. She also said that the homes on 145th were affordable and the residents could not afford to relocate in Hugo. McRoberts said that if 147th was upgraded, the extension on 150th would probably not occur. The Commission agreed that most of the traffic through Hugo was from the north and not local. It was also agreed that the state needed to look at TH61 and determine how it was going to be improved. The Commission discussed the 140th connection. The Community Development Director explained that according to the analysis done to date, it was determined that 1401h would be eliminated because of the environmental impacts and construction costs. McRoberts and Rosenquist did not like any of the options and said they would like to see more alternatives. The commission discussed how improvements to the County 14 and County 4 interchanges on 35E would greatly improve traffic flow. McRoberts was not in favor of eliminating the 1401h Street option. Schumann made motion, Rosenquist seconded, to recommend the City and County take another look at 147th and 145th as one-way streets. All Ayes. Motion carried. Rosenquist made motion, Bailly seconded, to recommend they look the option of extending Fenway Ave. north to CSAH8, and the option of a road north of 142"a St. All Ayes. Motion carried.
