Call to Order
Chairperson Schumann called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m.
PRESENT: Bailly, McRoberts, Peltier, Schumann
ABSENT: Kleissler, Malaski, Rosenquist
ALSO PRESENT: John Rask, Community Development
Michele Lindau, Planning Commission Secretary
Minutes of September 12, 2002
Peltier made motion, Bailly seconded, to recommend approval of the minutes for September 26,
2002.
All Ayes. Motion carried.
Massie Plat for Four Lots
The Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider the request of Michael Massie, 3201
Sky Croft Drive, for a preliminary plat for four rural residential lots located north of 125th St. N.
and approximately one-half mile east of Goodview Avenue. The property is 40.8 acres in size and
fronts on 125th St. N. The majority of the site consists of open fields with several small wetland
basins and a stand of trees in the southwest corner of the property. The Bald Eagle Sportsmen
Club is located to the southwest of the subject property.
Staff found the proposed lots would comply with the minimum lot size and width requirements,
and all lots would access from 125th Street North. Staff recommended the developer work with
the City to determine the best location of the driveways. Staff was also concerned about the
location of the Bald Eagle Sportsman Gun Club on the south side of 125th Street North and
recommend the presence of the Gun Club be disclosed to future buyers.
McRoberts made motion, Bailly seconded, to recommend approval of the preliminary plat for the
Massie subdivision of 40.8 acres into four lots subject to the conditions in the draft resolution.
All Ayes. Motion carried.
