Minutes for the Planning Commission February 23, 2000 - Page 4 <br />Land Use Regulations Conflict <br />The Planning Commission had previously received a report from the City Attorney regarding conflicts in <br />the City's Land Use Regulations concerning the development of lots on septic systems within the City's <br />Urban Development Area. <br />After reviewing the proposed amendment, Kleissler made motion, Malaski seconded, to recommend the <br />following: <br />Eliminate Section 5.13C. <br />Change the wording on Section 5.13A to read "No Commercial, Industrial, or Urban Development Area <br />shall be subdivided or platted in such manner as to create a new parcel or lot of record unless it is served by <br />municipal sanitary sewer service. Each rural density lot or parcel created shall be evaluated and found <br />capable of holding an individual septic system constructed in accordance with City standards." <br />All AYES. Motion carried. <br />Ordinance Recommending Accessory Building Size <br />The Planning Commission reviewed a proposed ordinance amending the size of permitted accessory <br />buildings in the Urban Residential Zoning District. <br />The Planning Commission recommended approval of the ordinance as written. A public hearing will be <br />held by the City Council on March 6, 2000, for public comment on the proposed amendment. <br />Housing Policy <br />The City Council requested, at their meeting on February 22, 2000, the Planning Commission table <br />consideration of the proposed housing policy until the Planning Commission meeting on March 22, 2000, <br />when the City Council will be in attendance. <br />Schumann made motion, Kleissler seconded, to table discussion of the housing policy until March 22, <br />2000. <br />All AYES. Motion carried. <br />Malaski made motion, Kleissler seconded, to adjourn at 9:07 p.m. <br />All AYES.
