Minutes for the Planning Commission April 24, 2000 - Page 3 <br />Concept Review (Brandon Preserve) <br />At the meeting of March 22, 2000, Warren Olson, a representative of Cedarwood Homes, Inc., 2002 5th <br />Street, White Bear Lake, MN, presented a concept for development of approximately 70 acres of property <br />located in the northwest % of Sec. 33. The Planning Commission had expressed concerns about the density <br />and length of the cul-de-sac. A revised sketch was provided for the Planning Commission's review; <br />however, there was no representative from Cedarwood Homes in attendance. No action was taken. <br />Video on Land Use Issues <br />The Planning Commission watched a video regarding land use issues provided by the League of Minnesota <br />Cities. <br />Workshop <br />Members of the Planning Commission expressed the desire to conduct an informal workshop between the <br />Planning Commission, City Council, and staff to discuss the role of all parties involved in the planning <br />process. <br />Information request <br />The Planning Commission requested staff obtain copies of the Washington County Plat book and The Job <br />of the Planning Commisisoner by Albert Solnit, for the new Commission members. <br />Adiourn <br />Kellison made motion, Malaski seconded, to adjourn at 10:05 p.m. <br />All AYES.
