Planning Commission Meeting August 23, 2000 page2 <br />Ed Kieger, owner of Kieger Enterprises, was present and had reviewed the proposed conditions for the permit, <br />stating he agreed to all except the condition limiting his access to Highway 61 and the paving of 165tH <br />Planning Commission requested that the condition prohibiting direct access to Highway 61 be amended to allow <br />it in the future, should the governmental agency having authority over the roadway permit it. The Commission <br />also stated they felt the condition requiring the applicant pave a portion of 165th Street was not appropriate as <br />other vehicles and business traffic use this same section of roadway. <br />Buller made motion, Peltier seconded, to recommend the City Council adopt a resolution approving a <br />Conditional Use Permit for an operational base for an environmental clean-up business at 5885 165th St. N., <br />with the conditions as amended. <br />All ayes. Motion carried. <br />Site Plan Approval (Wilson Tool) <br />The Planning commission considered the request of Wilson Tool, 12909 Farnham Ave. N., for site plan <br />approval to construct a 54,000 square foot building addition on the south end of their existing building. Prior to <br />this meeting of the Planning Commission, the Board of Zoning Adjustments considered a request from Wilson <br />Tool for a variance, and recommended the City Council approve it. <br />Duane Berg, Facility Supervisor, was at the meeting and answered questions from the Planning Commission. <br />'uleo made motion, Peltier seconded, to recommend the City Council adopt a resolution approving a site plan <br />for a building addition on property located at 12909 Farnham Road. <br />All ayes. Motion carried. <br />Miscellaneous Discussion <br />The Planning Commission discussed, in general terms; the moratorium, Planning Commission vacancy, <br />alternate Planning Commission members, meeting on August 28, 2000, regarding the new City Hall, and the <br />meeting on August 29, 2000, regarding the Everton Avenue Planning Study. <br />Adjournment <br />Kleissler made motion, Peltier seconded, to adjourn at 8:55 p.m. <br />All ayes.
