The property currently has three accessory
buildings totaling 3106 square feet. The property is limited to 3600 sq feet of accessory building in the
agriculture zone unless a special use permit is issued. In this case, the request is for an additional 1522
square feet for the storage of farm equipment. Building sizes as follows:
Garage, 286 sq ft. (to be removed); greenhouses, 2820 sq ft; proposed pole bam 2016 sq. feet.
The two greenhouses are hoop -type construction, potentially seasonal, but remain in place year-round.
Combined, they consume 80% of the allowable accessory building space. The existing garage is used to
house a tractor. The garage is in disrepair and of marginal quality.
Mr. Keu agreed that the existing garage would be removed following completion of the proposed pole
building and if the property is sold the greenhouses would be dismantled.
Motion made by Schumann, seconded by Malaski to recommend approval of the request of Xai Ken for a
special use permit to construct a 35' X 56' accessory building for the storage of farm equipment subject
to the following conditions:
L The existing garage be removed immediately following construction of the pole building.
2. The hoop construction greenhouses be removed upon sale of the property.
All aye, motion passed.
RESUBDIVISION - TOM & MARY ANN CREAGER
Tom and Mary Ann Creager, 12203 Ingersoll Avenue are requesting to rearrange the lot lines of Lot 2
and 3, Block 1, Arcand Estates. The present configuration is such that Lot 2 (4.3 acres) has no lake
frontage on Round Lake. The proposed rearrangement provides Lot A, 211 feet of lake frontage and
expands the acreage to 6.0 acres. Lot 3, reconfigured as Parcel B is reduced from 7.7 acres to 5.1 acres.
The property is zoned RR2, 5 acre minimum lot size.
The proposed rearrangement creates no new lots, rectifies a garage placement problem and more equally
distributes the land area of the lots (6.0 and 5.1 acres respectively). The detached garage is presently on
the lot line between parcels 2 and 3. The proposed Parcel B has an existing pole barn in the southwest
corner of the lot.
With no comment from the public the following motion was made.
Malaski made motion, seconded by Schumann to recommend approval of the request of Tom and Mary
Ann Creager to resubdivide the property described as Lot 2 and Lot 3, Block 1, Arcand Estates, survey
dated June 11, 1996, subject to the drainage easement described on both lots.
All aye. Motion passed
