MINUTES FOR THE PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING OF 5-26-99 <br />The meeting was called to order by Planning Commission Chairperson Puleo at 7:04 PM. <br />PRESENT: Kellison, Kleissler, Malaski, Peterson, Puleo <br />Peltier and Schumann arrived after roll call was taken. <br />City Administrator, Robert Museus <br />Deputy Clerk, Michele Lindau <br />Minutes of April 28, 1999 <br />Kleissler made motion, Malaski seconded, to approve the Planning Commission minutes for the meeting of April 28, 1999, as <br />amended. <br />AYES: Kellison, Kleissler, Peltier, Peterson, Schumann, Puleo <br />ABSTAIN: Malaski <br />Motion carried. <br />Site Plan Approval (Sotello Body & Paint) <br />Site Plan approval for Sotello Body & Paint, 5100 130th St., was first considered by the Planning Commission at their regular <br />meeting of February 24, 1999, at which time the application was tabled in order to allow the applicant time to provide additional <br />information. Mr. McGoldrick had since provided the City a new parking plan prepared by Humphrey Engineering of Woodville, <br />WI, which had been approved by the City Engineer. Locations of two signs were identified on the plan, though no sign descriptions <br />had been provided. McGoldrick had previously stated his intent to landscape the front with low growing bushes; however, no plan <br />had been provide. Mr. McGoldrick was not present at the meeting. <br />In a memo dated May 24, 1999, Sotello Body and Paint withdrew their application for site plan approval for a body shop on the site, <br />but Mr. McGoldrick wished to continue for approval of the construction of the parking lot. <br />Kellison made motion, Malaski seconded, to recommend denial of the site plan approval for Mr. McGoldrick due to lack of <br />information provided.. <br />Ayes: Kleissler, Malaski, Kellison <br />Nays: Peltier, Peterson, Puleo <br />Abstained: Schumann <br />Motion failed. <br />Schumann made motion, Peltier seconded, to recommend approval of the site plan provided Mr. McGoldrick addressed drainage <br />issues and provided a parking and landscape plan to the City Council at their next scheduled meeting. <br />Ayes: Puleo, Peterson, Peltier, Schumann <br />Nays: Malaski, Kellison <br />Abstain: Kleissler <br />Motion carried. <br />Eagle View Meadows Senior Housing PUD <br />This matter was considered at the Planning Commission meeting of April 24, 1999, at which time it was tabled to allow the <br />developer to provide more detailed utility plans and resolve an issue regarding storm water runoff from the site. <br />Paul Kelliher, Project Manager, was present to answer questions from the Planning Commission. <br />One issue of concern was the drainage from the site. Kelliher stated the runoff would be equal to or less than the present runoff, and <br />much of the site would be sloped to the roadway with catchbasins draining into the ponds. Puleo was concerned about the runoff <br />from behind the townhomes, which would be draining onto the sod fields. <br />
