MINUTES OF THE HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING - MAY 17, 1995 <br />Chairman Peltier called the special meeting to order at 7:00PM to finish <br />the Planning Commission's review of the draft goals and policies for the <br />City's revised Comprehensive Plan. <br />PRESENT: Agness, Kellison, Miltz-Miller, Peltier, Schumann <br />Robert Museus, City Administrator; Ed Elliott and Tom Loucks, <br />Loucks & Assoc. <br />ABSENT: Malaski, Rubenzer <br />Substantial discussion was held concerning the number of planning <br />districts to be included in the plan. Specifically, the Planning <br />Commission discussed the method to be used in planning for, and <br />maintaining, agriculture as a long term use of land in the community. <br />Miltz-Miller made motion, seconded by Schumann to have Loucks and Assoc. <br />prepare options for land use planning in the community for discussion at <br />the public meeting scheduled for June 14, 1995. The three options are to <br />include: <br />1. Two planning districts, rural and urban. <br />2. Two planning districts, rural and urban with a special zoning <br />classification for agricultural property in the rural district. <br />3. Three planning districts, rural residential, urban, and agricultural. <br />In addition, the issue is to be highlighted in the newsletter article <br />being published to advertise the public hearing. <br />All aye, motion passed. <br />Motion made by Miltz-Miller, seconded by Agness to add an option to the <br />list being prepared by Loucks and Assoc. to establish a one housing unit <br />per 40 acre classification for the City. <br />All aye, motion passed. <br />Other items were discussed which had been raised in review of the goals <br />and policy plan, including driveway accesses to arterial, collector <br />streets, use of agricultural preserves in the community, home occupations, <br />pedestrians crossing of, Trunk Highway 61, and other major roads in the <br />community, and other items. <br />Schumann made motion, seconded by Kellison, to adjourn at 9:10PM. <br />All <br />Wye <br />���'City Administrator <br />
