Motion made by Peltier, seconded by Olson to recess the public hearing until June 23, 1993 at the request of the applicants. All aye, motion passed. A meeting of the coordinating committee for the City's comprehensive plan ,eview was conducted on May 25, 1993. The purpose of the committee is to aid in communication across study committees and between the study committee and the Planninc Commission. The group is chaired by Planrinc Commissaoner Bill Mezzano. As part of the review of the Citys coeprehensive plan, a puolic survey has been budgeted for. Bill Mezzano stated that most committees appear to be on schedule and accomolishing their goals. However, the Image and Government Services committees have had a low turnout for their meetings. Land Use being the most significant committee has requested more technical guidance and is solicirirg questions +ron other committees. Administrator Museus will 3repare a "reouest for proposal" and submit bids to the Planninu Commission in June for review and recommendation for the City Council. Mr. Museus will encourage local mecia to cover the "in depth" participation of local residents with the Comprehensive Plan Review to hopefully spark more interest and engage more residents in the process. Mr. Bill Mezzano regretfully suomitted his resignation from tne Plannin:-.! [ommission and will no longer coordinate the Comp Plan Review meetings. The staff and Planning Commission members expressed their disappointment W losing Mr. Mezzano and wish him well.
