Who -1. <br />951UNA <br />September 23, <br />1992 <br />The meeting <br />was called to order by <br />Chairman Peltier <br />at 7:00PM. <br />PRESENT: Mezzano, <br />David, Agness, <br />Rubenzer, Oswald, <br />Olson, Peltier <br />Motion made <br />by Davis, seconded by <br />Olson to approve <br />the minutes of August <br />26, 1992 as <br />amended. <br />All aye, motion <br />carried. <br />Motion made <br />by Peltier, seconded <br />by Rubenzer to move <br />item number 4 (Met <br />Council Presentation) <br />until after <br />item number 6. <br />All aye, motion carried. <br />SPECIAL USE PERMIT - KENCO CONSTRUCTION <br />Mr. Kent Roessler, Kenco Construction has applied to the City for a <br />special use permit to install a sign at the northwest corner of Oneka Lake <br />Blvd. (147th St.) and Highway 61, advertising new homes in the Rice Lake <br />Meadows Subdivision. The property is owned by Burlington Northern <br />Railroad and zoned CB. The sign will be located 25' west of the <br />right-of-way of Highway 61. Mr. Roessler has filed an application with <br />the railroad for leasing the site and they have indicated that <br />installation of the sign would be approved, however, nothing in writing <br />has been received as yet. The previous SUP for a sign for Kenco was <br />approved in 1990 and has not created any problems. <br />The City is now in receipt of the permit from Burlington Northern Railroad <br />allowing the sign to be placed on their property. <br />Motion made by Rubenzer, seconded by Agness to recommend approval of the <br />special use permit request of Kenco Construction to install an advertising <br />sign at the above specified location subject to the following conditions: <br />1. The sign be classified as temporary and this permit shall expire no <br />later than December 1994. <br />2. The sign shall be unlighted, maintained, and in good condition at all <br />times. <br />3. The sign shall be installed in such a manner so as to not obstruct <br />visibility at the intersection near the sign. <br />4. No additional signs shall be installed on the site in question. <br />5. Written permission shall be provided from the property owner. <br />All aye, motion carried. <br />David & Stacy Ernst have applied to the City for a Special Use Permit to <br />construct a 26' X 32' accessory building on their property at 9825 122nd <br />St., Hugo in an area designated as flood zone A. The property is 5 acres <br />in size and zoned Agricultural. The proposed building meets the 3200 sq. <br />ft. requirement and all setback regulations. <br />
