MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br />OF THE <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />July 9, 1986 <br />The regular meeting was called to order by Chairman Atkinsons at 7:02PM. <br />PRESENT: Schoeller, Fashingbauer, Bob Olson, Ray Olson, Atkinson <br />ABSENT: Rudisill <br />Motion made by Atkinson, seconded by Bob Olson to approve the minutes of <br />June 25, 1986 as submitted. All aye. Motion carried. <br />Mike and Dick Brandt - Auto dismantling license - The Brandt's discussed <br />their water problem and the difficulty in complying with the conditions <br />of the special use permit. The reason items are stored outside the fence <br />was because of the high water. This is also the reason no water testing <br />has been done. They were informed that the previous water tests were <br />inadequate. Ron Cressman, 165th St. was present and shared his concern <br />about the wells in the area. <br />Motion made by Atkinson, seconded by Schoeller to table the renewal for <br />two weeks at which time Brandts shall provide a screening plan, plan <br />for unstacking the cars over 6',on the south side of the yard remove the <br />items stored (fish house, etc.), and request H. Kuusisto to inspect the <br />wells and attend the July 23 meeting. All aye, motion carried. <br />Atkinson made motion, seconded by Ray Olson to table the renewal decision <br />until the first meeting in August. All aye, motion carried. <br />Norm Horton - Auto dismantling licenses - Mr. Flannery represented Mr. <br />Horton and requested that the renewal be tabled until he has time to <br />contact the operators of the businesses regarding the requirements of <br />the SUP. The operator of Northside Auto has installed the test well <br />and will try to obtain the proper tests for the meeting of July 23. <br />Motion made by Atkinson, seocnded by Fashingbauer to table the renewal <br />recommendation until July 23, 1986. All aye, motion carried. <br />There was some discussion by a person interested in operating a karate <br />school in an oversized garage at 170th and Henna. The general concensus <br />was that it could be allowed.
