MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br />OF THE <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />June 13, 1984 <br />The regular meeting was called to order. by Chairman Lorch at 7:OOPM. <br />PRESENT: Lorch, Atkinson, Rudisill, Olson <br />ABSENT: Schoeller, Potts, Fashingbauer <br />Motion rade by Rudisi11, second by Atkinson to approve the Minutes of <br />May 23, 1984 as submitted. All aye, motion carried. <br />The regular meeting was recessed and the public hearing called to <br />order at 7:05PM. <br />Bald Eagle Sportsmans Assoc. - Public Hearing - Mr. Art Timm pre- <br />sented the plans for the club to extend their shooting range to -200 <br />yards. Proposed plans for improvements include 3 birms at the 50, <br />100, and 200 yard shooting areas to help absorb noise. The birms <br />would 5' -to 27' wide from top to bottom and 8' to 9J' high. The <br />club would fill in a swampy area for the purpose of moving the <br />shooting stand lower into the slope for greater protection. The <br />club has no plans to increase their membership or to hold rifle <br />meets on the property. Residents in attendance were Dave Holm, , <br />6460 125th St., Rod Seiko, 12310 Goodview, Lee Stevens, 12494 Good - <br />view, Bob Anderson, 12200 Goodview, main concerns were the poss- <br />ibility of stronger loads in shells, increased traffic on Goodview <br />Ave. and additional members. Mr. Clifford Axelson felt the club <br />showed little or no concern for his family in working out their <br />problems. Grace feels any change in their special is a permit <br />would be undesireable (regarding the extended range). <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:57 PM. <br />Glen Biornson blic Hearing - Mr. Bjornson neglected filing; his <br />- <br />a Special Use Permit to continue raising cattle on <br />his property 12001 Ingersoll. Mr. Bjornson has been notified per- <br />sonally regarding his obligation to comply with city code but has <br />disregarded all requests. Property owners surrounding.Round Dake <br />attending the meeting were Mary Ann Creager, John Jarvis and 7":.ke <br />Ball. All residents were opposed to the cattle being allowed into <br />the water. George Atkinson referred to testing done on lakes in <br />the past and the incredible increase in aar6"c6unt after amain <br />carries the animal waste into the watere stressed the high <br />nutrient content is extremely harmful to the lake.
