MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br />OF THE <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />January 9, 1980 <br />The public hearing to consider the rezoning request of Marvin Christiai:son was <br />called to order at 7:45 PM. <br />PRESENT: Peloquin, Hanson, Greger, Lorch, Houle, Peltier <br />ABSENT: McAllister <br />Mr. Christianson is requesting to rezone 12.96 acres from SFE to SFU. Appro- <br />ximately 2 acres will ultimately remain with the present house. The land <br />to be rezoned is approximately 600' from city sewer, and Mrs. Christianson <br />stated that she was aware there would be no buildable lots until sanitary <br />sewer was extended to the property. <br />Phil Greenwaldt, 6232 Oneka Lake Blvd., was present, and concerned that he <br />inight be forced to put in city water and sewer to his property. Because his <br />lies to the east of the property to be rezoned, Peloquin did not feel Green- <br />waldt would have any problem. <br />Mrs. Christianson provided the Commission with proof of ownership. The <br />land to be rezoned abuts an SFU zone. <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:58 PM. (MCALLISTER ARRIVED AT 8:05 PM) <br />The regular meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Peltier at 8:07 PM. <br />PRESENT: Peloquin, Hanson, Greger, Lorch, Houle, Peltier, McAllister <br />Motion made by Peloquin, seconded by McAllister, to approve the minutes of <br />December 12, 1979, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Lorch, to approve the minutes of the <br />Special Meeting of December 13, 1979, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MARVIN CHRISTIANSON - REZONING <br />Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Greger, to recommend approval of the <br />request of Marvin Christianson to rezone 12.96 acres from SFE to SFU. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />JAMES BREVIG - REZONING <br />Brevig's attorney, Mr. Geck, was present, and formally requested that Mr. Brevig's <br />application for rezoning be .reopened. Mr. Geck stated that the lot is presently <br />4.5 - 5.0 acres. He was under the impression that originally the lot was in- <br />tended to be two lots, but the buyer wanted to keep in one parcel. The lot would <br />ultimately be divided into two lots (1- 3A, 1 - 2A). Geck felt that this was <br />a reasonable solution to the matter of the dike. The dike would remain in its <br />
