SPECIAL MI FFTI;OG Hugo Planning Commission January 23, 1980 The Special Meeting held to discuss the Comprehensive Plan with Carl Dale was called to order by Chairwoman Peltier at 6:38 PM. PRESENT: Peloquin, 1hanson, Greper, Houle, Lorch, McAllister, Peltier Mr. Dale also present. 1. Discussed and reviewed the new soils and topographic charts prepared by Washington County Planning*. 2. Discussed an proposal to include a new map in the Comprehensive Plan more clearly defining large areas now deemed unbuildable, e:g., lakeshore, Conservancy, etc. 3. Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Peltier, that "no material or correspondence" pertaining to a preliminary or final draft of the proposed Comprehensive Plan be transmitted to any individual or agency without review and approval by the Governing ^ody. VOTING, FOR: Hanson, Lorch, I-icAllister VOTING AGAINST: Greger, Peltier ABSTAINED: Peloquin, Houle MOTION CARRIED. 4. Carl Dale requested rather than formal voting, a consensus on the fol- lowing* subject matter: A. Inclusion of the site as indicated on his present proposed plan of "a new Fire Station". It was the consensus of the Planning Commission that no "specific site" should be mentioned in the new plat.. B. It is the consensus of the Planning Comiission that no mention of the overpass over Highway 61 "as proposed" should be included in the plan. C. It is the consensus of the Planning Commission that no mention of the "proposed plan" west of Highway 61 and south of Interstate Lumber for a shopping center should be included in the plan. 5. Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Greger, that the Planning Commission recommends the City Council "does not" include or address Incentive Zoning in the Comprehensive Plan. VOTING FOR: Peloquin, Hanson, Greger, Houle, Lorch, McAllister VOTING AGAINST: Peltier MOTION CARRIED.
