SPECIAL MI FFTI;OG <br />Hugo Planning Commission <br />January 23, 1980 <br />The Special Meeting held to discuss the Comprehensive Plan with Carl Dale <br />was called to order by Chairwoman Peltier at 6:38 PM. <br />PRESENT: Peloquin, 1hanson, Greper, Houle, Lorch, McAllister, Peltier <br />Mr. Dale also present. <br />1. Discussed and reviewed the new soils and topographic charts prepared <br />by Washington County Planning*. <br />2. Discussed an proposal to include a new map in the Comprehensive Plan <br />more clearly defining large areas now deemed unbuildable, e:g., <br />lakeshore, Conservancy, etc. <br />3. Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Peltier, that "no material or <br />correspondence" pertaining to a preliminary or final draft of the <br />proposed Comprehensive Plan be transmitted to any individual or agency <br />without review and approval by the Governing ^ody. <br />VOTING, FOR: Hanson, Lorch, I-icAllister <br />VOTING AGAINST: Greger, Peltier <br />ABSTAINED: Peloquin, Houle <br />MOTION CARRIED. <br />4. Carl Dale requested rather than formal voting, a consensus on the fol- <br />lowing* subject matter: <br />A. Inclusion of the site as indicated on his present proposed plan of <br />"a new Fire Station". <br />It was the consensus of the Planning Commission that no "specific <br />site" should be mentioned in the new plat.. <br />B. It is the consensus of the Planning Comiission that no mention of <br />the overpass over Highway 61 "as proposed" should be included in <br />the plan. <br />C. It is the consensus of the Planning Commission that no mention of <br />the "proposed plan" west of Highway 61 and south of Interstate <br />Lumber for a shopping center should be included in the plan. <br />5. Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Greger, that the Planning Commission <br />recommends the City Council "does not" include or address Incentive Zoning <br />in the Comprehensive Plan. <br />VOTING FOR: Peloquin, Hanson, Greger, Houle, Lorch, McAllister <br />VOTING AGAINST: Peltier <br />MOTION CARRIED. <br />
