MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br />OF THE <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />March 11, 1981 <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairwoman Theodora Peltier at 8:04 PM. <br />PRESENT: Peloquin, Hanson, Greger, Lorch, Fashingbauer, Peltier <br />ABSENT: Knuteson <br />Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Peloquin, to approve the minutes of <br />February 25, 1981, as submitted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />WALTER OTTO - SITE PLAN APPROVAL <br />Mr. Otto had initially contacted the city stating that he would like to build <br />a pole barn to be used for rental purposes (45 x 108). A letter was sent to <br />Mr. Otto informing him that the use was not allowed, and would be considered <br />intensification of a non -conforming use. Mr. Otto appeared at this meeting <br />stating that because he could not use the building for rental purposes, he <br />would be increasing his farming operation, and would be using the building <br />for agricultural purposes. Mr. Otto has recently purchased 12.41 acres from <br />Jeff Barbour, and provided a copy of the recently notorized Contract for <br />Deed. <br />Mr. Otto plans on constructing the new building on the 5 acre parcel, which <br />would make a total of 9 accessory buildings. Because a Special Use Permit <br />would be required for a building of that size, Mr. Otto changed his appli- <br />cation to read a 40 x 90 building so that Site Plan Approval would be all <br />that is required. Peloquin felt that there was sufficient building space <br />already on the property in which to store equipmfpt.(�MV. Otto stated that <br />the large barn would not support a_lar�ge=Aamber-of�ay and the roof leaked. <br />Peloquin felt that a validC[D gas adequate proof -of -ownership, but had <br />problems as to how the city lulate what would be stored in the building. <br />Otto stated that he would not use the building for commercial purposes, <br />and would store only hay, grain, as well as machinery. <br />Motion made by Hanson, seconded by Lorch, to recommend approval of the Site <br />Plan for Walter Otto, 13264 Isleton Avenue, for the construction of a 40 x 90 <br />pole barn with the specific purpose to be used for agricultural purposes only. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MARLOWE LINDAU - DIVISION OF 16 ACRES <br />Mr. Lindau, 5880 Egg Lake Road, has recently sold his hone, and a new deed <br />will be required.
