MINUTES FOR THE SPECIAL HUGO CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF APRIL 11. <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stoltzman at 7:36 PM. <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Brunotte, Leroux, Miron, Stoltzman <br />City Administrator, Robert Museus <br />City Engineer, Joel Dresel <br />Mayor Stoltzman reconvened the City Council meeting of April 4, 1994 in <br />order for the Council to discuss issues regarding the transition of city <br />engineering services from Howard A. Kuusisto Consulting Engineers to OSM. <br />The City Administrator requested that the Council consider a variance <br />request from Paramount Structures, Inc., for construction of an oversized <br />garage at 12175 Upper Heather Avenue. The builder requested action on the <br />variance as soon as possible in order to start construction of the home <br />during the week of April 11, 1994. Specifically, the request is for a <br />variance to construct a garage of 1,300 square feet, where 1,000 square <br />feet is permitted. Considering the large lot (five acres), the large home <br />being constructed on the lot (2,600 square feet, 1st floor), the following <br />motion was made: <br />Stoltzman made motion, Barnes seconded, to approve the variance request to <br />construct a 1,300 square foot oversized garage at 12175 Upper Heather <br />Avenue. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />COUNCILMAN MIRON ARRIVED AT 7:40 PM. <br />The Council then discussed the transition of engineering duties to OSM, <br />including exchange of information, responsibility for projects in <br />progress, and priorities for near-term improvement and planning projects. <br />The Council also discussed the processes to be used in administering <br />future projects. At approximately 10:30 PM, the following motion was <br />made: <br />Leroux made motion, Brunotte seconded, to recess tonight's meeting until <br />7:30 PM, April 13, 1994. <br />All aye.
