I
City Council meeting of May 16, 1994
Page 4
Miron made motion. Brunotte seconded, to approve the final plat for RICE
LAKE MEADOWS, PHASE 3.
All aye. Motion Carried.
FEASIBILITY REPORT (COST ESTIMATE - CLEARWATER CREEK TO TRUNK HIGHWAY 61
TRANSPORTATION STUDY
At the Council meeting of May 2, 1994, the Council made a motion to have
the City Engineer review the transportation needs of the developing area
between 130th Street to the south, to County Road 8 in the north, from
T.H. 61 in the east, to Clearwater Creek in the west. The Council
reviewed a work program developed by the City Engineer outlining the tasks
to be performed in the study.
Barnes made motion, Miron seconded, authorizing the City Administrator to
enter into an agreement with OSM for development of a Clearwater Creek to
T.H. 61 transportation study, not to exceed $13,440.00.
All aye. Motion Carried.
WHITE BEAR MEADOWS
Council action on May 2, 1994 required the developer of the proposed Whit
Bear Meadows subdivision to determine the boundary between the developmen
and the property to the north. Mr. Jack Kornovich stated that he had
obtained emergency access for White Dear Meadows via the Molitor/Linden
property to the south. The survey work was completed, and there was a
question as to whether a control structure could be constructed on an
easement. White Dear Meadows should be ready for preliminary plat
approval on June 6, 1994, subject to the following items be addressed:
1. Proof of right-of-way for provision of a second road access to the
development.
2. Proof of legal ability to drain storm water from the development into
a judicial on the north edge of the property.
126TH STREET STOP SIGN
On November 1, 1993, the Council considered a request for installation of
a stop sign on 126th Street and Exhall Avenue. At that time, the Council
denied the request, but determined to review the matter in six months.
Since the time of last Council action, there has not been a change in the
situation leading the staff to reconsider the request. A traffic analysis
of the area, prepared by Benshoof and Associates, Inc., for the proposed
development known as Woods of Bald Eagle, was provided to the Council for
their review. A number of residents were present stating that because of
excessive speed, and the large of number children in the area, a stop sig
was needed.
Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to extend the meeting past 11:00 PM.
All aye. Motion Carried.
