MINUTES FOR THE SPECIAL HUGO COUNCIL MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 12, 1994 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stoltzman at 7:45 PM. <br />PRESENT: Barnes, Brunotte, Leroux, Miron, Stoltzman <br />City Administrator, Robert Museus <br />City Finance Director, Ron Otk:in <br />This special meeting was called to consider the adoption of a resolution <br />approving payable 1995 Truth in Taxation proposed levy certification, <br />which must be adopted by September 15, 1994. <br />Councilmember Barnes queried the staff regarding the budget, and there was <br />a general discussion of the City's proposed expenditures for 1995. <br />The City Administrator presented changes to the proposed budget in order <br />to allow partial funding of a new fire hall. Reducing the proposed Fire <br />Department budget, eliminating the recodification of City ordinances in <br />1995, as well as adding additional revenues through increasing the City's <br />liquor license fees, would provide the City $37,132. The fund would allow <br />the City to plan a new fire hall in 1995, and serve as a base for future <br />debt service needs for the buildinq. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1994-18, A <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING 1995 TRUTH IN TAXATION PROPOSED LEVY CERTIFICATION IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $797,213, AND FURTHERMORE, TO SET NOVEMBER 28, 1994, AS THE <br />DATE FOR THE CITY'S TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING. <br />AYE: Barnes, Brunotte, Leroux, Miron, Stoltzman <br />NAY: None <br />Motion Carried. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Miron seconded, to adjourn at 8:•30 PM. <br />All aye.
