MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br />OF THE <br />HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br />January 259 1978 <br />The public hearing considering the multi fmaily uses ordinance was called to order <br />at 7:39 PM by Chairman Ehret. <br />PRESENT: Ehret, Peloquin, Gillen, McAllister <br />Larry Irsfeld, City Council, was also present. <br />ABSENT: Peltier, Greger, Rosenquist <br />Mr, James Brevig, 14120 Hyde Avenue, stated that it was his opinion that there Uz�r <br />too many restrictions on the developer. <br />The public hearing was closed at 7:45 PM. <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Commission was called to order by Chairman <br />Ehret at 8:17 PM. <br />PRESENT: Ehret, Peloquin, Gillen, and McAllister <br />ABSENT: Peltier, Greger, Rosenquist <br />Motion made by Peloquin, seconded by Gillen, to approve the minutes of January 11, <br />19789 as presented. <br />All aye. Motion Carried, <br />MULTI—FAMILY USE ORDINANCE <br />Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Gillen, that the Planning Commission recommends <br />that the City Council adopt the proposed Multi—Family Use Ordinance. <br />All aye. Motion carried. <br />JAMES BREVIG — SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />Mr. Brevig?permission to construct a 50 x 100 pole barn on his property. <br />The land is z ed RRII. The Ordinance Committee had been instructed to define the <br />terms of the ordinance. Their report of January 10, 1978 is on record. <br />Mr. Ehret stated that there is already an attached garage on the property, and Mr. Brevig <br />stated that he does not feel that it is a garage, because it is not used as such. <br />Mr. Ehret stated that there is already a pole barn on the premises. The Planning <br />Commission proceeded with discussion relating to the Ordinance Committee minutes. <br />(Greger arrived at 8:25 PM). Mr. Ehret stated that the Commission should keep in <br />mind that there is no commercial use on an accessory building in RRII zoning. <br />(Peltier arrived at 8:32 PM). Greger stated that he would not like to think that Hugo <br />would not allow a home and a place for a hobby. Gillen said that he did not think <br />the size of the building was good for RRII zoning. He felt the building should be <br />kept the same size as the homes in the area. He also questioned when an accessory <br />building, by size alone, become the principal structure. There is some point where <br />a home is not the principal structure. <br />
