Hugo Planning Commission <br />January 25, 1978 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />VOTE ON AMENM ENT - <br />VOTING FOR: Peloquin, Peltier, Greger, Gillen, McAllister, and Ehret <br />MOTION CARRIED. <br />MOTION AS AMENDED - <br />VOTING FOR: Peloquin, Peltier, Gillen, and McAllister <br />VOTING AGAINST: Greger and Ehret <br />MOTION CARRIED. <br />CHARLES SHUBAT - SUBDIVISION <br />Mr. Shubat has an application in to extend 130th Street eastward for 13201, and to <br />subdivide 120 acres into 10 acre building sites. The City Engineer, Howard Kuusisto, <br />has stated that the cartway follows the section line, but there is some question as <br />to its width. Mr. Ehret suggested that Mr. Shubat submit in writing a request to <br />have the road constructed in gravel according to the city's standards. It was deter- <br />mined that the first part of the request (extension of 130th Street ) can be acted <br />on, but more information will be needed on the subdivision request. <br />Motion made by Ehret, seconded by McAllister, that the Planning Commission recommend <br />approval of the application for extension of 130th Street for an additional 13201. <br />The entire 2640' of 130th Street to be brought to 60' width and city, standards with <br />appropriate turn around at the end. A T style is suggested. Further, that a <br />variance for gravel surface be granted. The street is to be placed on the section line. <br />VOTING FOR: Peloquin, Peltier, Greger, Gillen, McAllister, and Ehret <br />MOTION CARRIED. <br />Motion made by Greger, seconded by Gillen, that the Planning Commission recommend <br />denial of the subdivision by metes and bounds. Mr. Shubat is to follow"subdivision <br />procedure as specified in the subdivision ordinance. <br />VOTING FOR: Peloquin, Peltier, Greger, Gillen, McAllister, and Ehret <br />MOTION CARRIED, <br />ROBERT MCCULLOUGH - SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />Motion made by Peloquin, seconded by Peltier, that Robert McCullough be placed on the <br />agenda for discussion purposes. <br />All aye. Motion carried. (Gillen refrained from discussion) <br />Mr. McCullough was informed that no action would be taken by the Commission - discussion <br />only. Mr. McCullough presented a site plan for his proposed nursery. The land is <br />one acre located directly south of Sophie Arcand's easement. McCullough was instructed <br />to work with Dan Koehler, Washington County Planning, regarding the required septic <br />system that will be needed. Mr. McCullough will need a Special Use Permit whether <br />the land is rezoned or not. (Gillen left the meeting at 10:15 PM), Mr. McCullough <br />
