Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Gillen, to table the Fred Benson request for rezoning until the meeting of June 139 1979, at which time Mr. Benson is to provide professional perc tests for the proposed rezoning. All aye. Motion Carried. FRED BENSON — AMENDED SPECIAL USE PERMIT Because of the change in location of the kennel, and the smaller amount of acreage for the operation, an Amended Special Use Permit is needed. Because of the change in location, it was determined that a new perc test be taken for the kennel. Motion made by Peloquin, seconded by McAllister, to table the request of Fred Benson for an Amended Special Use Permit until the meeting of June 13, 19799 at which time a professional perc test be submitted for the new location of the kennel. A copy of the perc test for the residence also to be submitted. All aye. Motion Carried. MID X RICAN METAL CRAFT — REZONING Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Houle, to set a public hearing for June 13, 19799 at 7:30 PM, to consider the requests of LeRoy and Lauren McCullough, Clyde Rehbein, and Mid American Metal Craft, to have land rezoned from the RB district to the Industrial district. City Clerk be directed to provide the applicants with all information necessary for the procedure. A11 aye. Motion Carried. RON GRANGER — SPECIAL USE PERMIT Mr. Granger's plumbing building is in the CB district, and he is requesting authorization to convert the building into a restaurant. Paul's Pizza would be the new occupant. Peloquin stated his concern for the A & W Drivein next door, and said that he would not like to see any curb—side service. Mr. Granger felt this statement was infringement on the free enterprise system. All interior plans would be subject to the Minnesota Board of Health for their approval. Mr. Granger said the entrance would be from Highway 61, and vision was very good from both directions. Inside modification would be the only necessary work on the building. The parking lot is presently blacktopped on the south side of the building. McAllister stated that any screening along Highway 61 would be hazardous. The present plumbing sign wouldbe replaced by a Paul's Pizza sign. Hanson stated some objection to the Highway 61 entrance, and he felt the public should be notified. McAllister felt that a public hearing would not be needed. Mr. Granger met with all the requirements of the Special Use Permit checklist. Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Gillen, to recommend approval of the Special Use Permit for Ronald Granger to convert his plumbing building into a restaurant, as per submitted Site Plan. VOTING FOR: Peloquin, Gillen, Hanson, Houle, McAllister and Peltier ABSTAINED: Greger Motion Carried.
