MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br />OF THE <br />HUGO PLANNING COMIISSION <br />February 14, 1979 <br />The public hearing to consider the requests of Vern Peloquin, David <br />Schwartz, and Robert Bernier for rezoning was called to order by <br />Larry Ehret at 7:10 PM. <br />PRESENT: Peltier, Greger, McAllister and Ehret <br />ABSENT: Gillen - Peloquin was present as a member of the audience <br />There was no one present stating objections to the rezoning. Peloquin <br />stated that Joe Glamos and Joe Oman verbally told him they were not <br />opposed to the rezoning. Mr. Robert Bernier stated his only concern <br />was the 200' strip of land between the trailer court and his property <br />which is zoned CB. He said that he would not like to see a business <br />on that land because of the proximity of residential homes. If the <br />business did not concur with the permitted use, the land owners in the <br />area would be notified of a public hearing. The public hearing was <br />closed at 7:24 PM. <br />RICHARD GENRICH'- SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />The public hearing to consider the request of Richard Genrich to <br />construct a 40 x 60 pole barn to be used in the operation, mainte- <br />nance, and storage of a split wood supply was called to order by <br />Larry Ehret at 7:35 PM. <br />PRESENT: Peltier, Greger, McAllister and Ehret <br />ABSENT: Peloquin and Gillen <br />Mr. Ken Zimmerman, prospective owner of the property, was present <br />and stated that the building will be constructed approximately 1100 feet <br />from Goodview Avenue, on a 25 acre parcel zoned Agriculture. <br />sirs. Steinkraus, 12821 Goodview Avenue,;inquired as to the type of <br />vehicles to be used in the operation. Mr. Zimmerman said that four <br />trucks will be used (1 - 22 ton and 3 - one ton). <br />GILLEN ARRIVED AT 7:40 PM <br />Robert Taylor, 12861 Goodview, questioned why he was not notified of the <br />public hearing. Mrs. Peltier said that Deana Wells, 12182 Goodview, <br />should have been notified because she was within the 300' boundary, but <br />that Mr. Taylor's residence did not apply. <br />Mr. Steinkraus requested that Zimmerman state the type of operation. <br />The logs will be brought in from the Hinckley and MacGregor area. An <br />electric hydraulic bar saw will be used so there will be no high pitched <br />noise involved in the operation. The log splitter will also be of a <br />hydraulic nature. All the work will be housed within the building, and <br />the logs will be stored outside. The sawdust will be sold to a poultry <br />business and nurseries. Mr. Zimmerman will not be using diseased trees, <br />but cannot guarantee this statement. <br />
